  • What is your minimum delivery?

Our minimum delivery is 100 gallons, which is the state minimum. We will deliver less for a  fee of $75 .

  • What are your business hours?

We are open Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. We also have a 24-hour emergency service. Call us at (860) 745-0321.

  • What are your payment options?

We have many options available. Click here to go to our payment options page.

  • Do you offer senior discounts?

Yes, we offer an additional two cents ($.02) off per gallon for our customers that are age 62 or older.

  • What is the difference between Automatic Delivery and Will Call?

Automatic Delivery means that the oil company automatically determines when a customer needs fuel using degree day monitoring. The customer does not need to place a call to the oil company for delivery. The oil company will automatically deliver fuel regularly, ensuring the customer always has enough fuel.

Will Call means the customer will monitor their consumption and "will call" their oil company when a delivery is needed.

Troiano Oil Co offers both Automatic Delivery and Will Call services.

  • Do you offer price programs, and when do they start?

Yes, we offer a capped plan, usually available sometime in the spring to mid-summer for the upcoming heating season. Call us for more information.

  • My heat doesn't go on. What should I do?

    • Be sure the emergency switch (oil burner switch) is on. This switch is usually at the top of the stairs. It has a red switch plate and is marked.
    • Check your breaker box to make sure the switch didn't trip.
    • Confirm that you've set your thermostat above room temperature.
    • Check if the water is at the proper level (steam systems only).
    • Push the "reset button" on the relay. ONLY ONCE!
    • If the burner still fails to start, turn the emergency switch "off" (top of stairs location) and call us at (860) 745-0321.

  • I hear water rushing through my pipes. Why are the lines making a noise?

Most likely, you have air in your system. You will need to have us purge the air out of your system or bleed the radiators. Call us today to schedule an appointment.

  • How long does a boiler tune-up or cleaning take?

A complete professional tune-up generally takes from one to one and a half hours. It typically includes a series of safety and operating tests and any needed adjustments. These include, among many other things, testing the draft, burner operations, and system efficiency.

  • How often should I have a boiler tune-up?

We recommend tuning up your boiler once a year before the heating season. Summer is the recommended time to have this done.

  • Does your company pull permits for all installations?

Yes, Troiano Oil pulls all proper permits according to Connecticut State Codes. After the installation, we recommend that you call your town hall's building inspector to schedule an inspection.

  • Do you offer service contracts?

Yes. Troiano Oil Co offers three plans:

    • Basic Plan – includes an annual tune-up, one emergency night call, and a list of covered parts.
    • Extended Plan – includes everything in the Basic Plan and no limitations to the number of emergency night calls and a long list of parts.
    • Oil Tank Protection Plan -- (only eligible with an Automatic Delivery plan) includes coverage and replacement of your 275 or 330-gallon above-ground oil tank with the same size.
